Perhaps the default BIOS setup password is set? Below are some defaults that you could try: AMI Award bios setup cmos concat AMI_SW (case sensitive) AMI!SW/ AMI?SW/ j262 If they don't work, the procedure could be more complicated. I read an informative article on the subject. Please check this site: http://www.dewassoc.com/support/bios/bios_password.htm Sorry I can't be more helpful than that. .bash_profile note: contains stuff such as creating aliases in a unix terminal.
