MusicKeller Williams Concert. October 18, 2007 in OsakaWow, can Keller play. Got to meet him and Lou Gossain. Yes, the guy who put the "loo" in "loop." Before Lou, it was just "p"! Give him a listen. Maybe try the DVD "Sight" for starters. Rick Snider (Drums, etc, Northeast Ohio, USA)http://Discoveryband.com My long lost garage-dband buddy and beer friend from high school. In Rick's words "We'll have to meet @ the corner store for Chick-O Sticks? & Cherikee Red sit on the mailbox & solve the world problems." Yes, we should meet at the corner of Washington and 10th Street in Lorain, Ohio on our way home from marching band practice and do just that. Pete Tender (Pianist. Columbus, Ohio, USA)http://petetender.com/ My friend and former band mate in high school. We were in choir, band and put together our own band for the 1974 Lorain High School senior talent show. We (myself on bass and Peter on keyboards) performed "Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road" and "Benny and the Jets" with Juan Garcia (drums), Dean Arroyo (guitar). Hikaru Honda (Sound Sculptor, Hiroshima, Japan)My friend and former student Hikaru Honda got a prize for his composition entitled "Sparkle Between Us" you can hear it here: http://www.s-sa.jp/modules/pea/ Donny Schwekendiek (Pianist, Nagoya, Japan)Ashley Dean and (i LiKE TRAiNS, U.K.)Ashley did video editing for my Virtual University English Listening I did at Hiroshima University. He is now the stage artist and cornet for the British band http://www.iliketrains.co.uk/ i LiKETRAiNS Check 'em out... Excellent videos, I suspect he had his hands in on the animation and videos too. My GuitarsMy best Guitar I'm trying to decide whether to sell or get it fixed. Basically works well mechanically, but anything metal has lost its lustre or shows some corrosion. The input jack just kind of disintegrated so I definitely need a new one of those. Though it probably also needs a good cleaning and I would feel better if the 3 position toggle switch were replaced or at least the threaded ring that holds it in which is corroded. Inside, I just don't know. The gold plating is all worn down just about everywhere. Somebody used the wrong cleaner on this or just had it setting out in the open way too long. What do you think? Sell and replace, or repair? It is a beautiful sounding instrument! Solid maple body. Oh, there were only 200 made. I'm thinking Yamaha would have the best knowledge of how to handle this. Think I will give them a ring. My newest guitar, the Yamaha SLG100S I purchased in September, 2007. Basically, I love having a guitar that works. My guitars have been slowly falling apart until I had nothing usable. Sounds great. Good action (but note that it is folk action). Sound reminds me of an ovation. I am not a big fan of the ovation sound, but it is quite clean and predictable, nice range of sounds possible for a stick. Basically, I'm having a blast with this. Next guitar will be a very low action electric, like maybe a strat or Les Paul. Here I list songs I've heard that I'd like to add to my music library:Elastica - Mad Dog God Dam Menace [Import Bonus Tracks]. Antony & the Johnsons "Paddy's Gone" imogen heap "Hide and Seek" lyrics. Nice song. Cool use of vocoder (keyboard shaped by imogen's vocal tract.) British vowels made it a bit difficult to figure out in places. |
