My best Guitar I'm trying to decide whether to sell or get it fixed. Basically works well mechanically, but anything metal has lost its lustre or shows some corrosion. The input jack just kind of disintegrated so I definitely need a new one of those. Though it probably also needs a good cleaning and I would feel better if the 3 position toggle switch were replaced or at least the threaded ring that holds it in which is corroded. Inside, I just don't know. The gold plating is all worn down just about everywhere. Somebody used the wrong cleaner on this or just had it setting out in the open way too long. What do you think? Sell and replace, or repair? It is a beautiful sounding instrument! Solid maple body. Oh, there were only 200 made. I'm thinking Yamaha would have the best knowledge of how to handle this. Think I will give them a ring.

We (myself on bass and Peter on keyboards) performed "Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road" and "Benny and the Jets" with Juan Garcia (drums), Dean Arroyo (guitar).

My Guitars

My newest guitar, the Yamaha SLG100S I purchased in September, 2007. Basically, I love having a guitar that works. My guitars have been slowly falling apart until I had nothing usable. Sounds great. Good action (but note that it is folk action). Sound reminds me of an ovation. I am not a big fan of the ovation sound, but it is quite clean and predictable, nice range of sounds possible for a stick. Basically, I'm having a blast with this. Next guitar will be a very low action electric, like maybe a strat or Les Paul.

BadGuitar My first attempt at multitrack recording. I used two cassette recorders and recorded the rhythm then added a lead part on top of that with myself playing with my recorded self on cassette.

PatMethenyTape recorded at Barcelona's Teatre Grec, outdoor concert July 14, 1987. Nice touches with loud Spanish claps and the sound of people stepping on discarded plastic beer cups.
