King ArthurThemes: nation and tribe, paganism and christianity, imperialism and living locally, women and men, the history of Britain. The fire scenes often gave me flashbacks of Burning Man 2002 Women fighting in hand-to-hand combat? Historically accurate? Not sure about that but definitely a fresh perspective on warfare. As for myself, I enjoyed it, thanks. Good movie! Enjoyable and though provoking. Tangential thought: How did the leaders in this kind of combat stay alive? Were they good fighters? Or are they just good at staying out of the way. I'll guess the latter. Modern combat is even moreso. Has Bush, Rumsfeld or any other of the military leadership been in any sort of danger? I'd love to see the number of deaths and breakdown by rank and percentage of that category. |
