Writing MASLE test grammars:

1. Get the English Sentence to transate.

For example: "Hi how are you?"

2. Convert to a sentence like this:

( SIL HI [SIL] HOW [SIL] ARE [SIL] YOU SIL )

save it as XXX.gmr (for example: S1.gmr)

3. Write a dictionary using the Arpabet (http://masle.org/arpabet.php). Make sure EVERY word is there.

SIL sil

save it as XXX.dct (for example S1.dct)

do this for sample word, sample sentence, animal word and animal sentence and from the Couper test: http://masle.org/diagnostic.htm

Explain that they can record again if they want.

Emphasize the SEND part. If you don't push send it doesn't save it.
