Downhill Grrls

Today I saw the girls on the downhill from the bridge to the dam-works where the okawa feeds into the yodogawa. This perhaps is the geopsychic center of northern Osaka. Balanced evenly between the power of the center of commerce and that of the residence and transportation since major highways cross near here, all the trains cross the river near here and the Osaka bullet train is just up the way. Here in the center of all that transport is a huge river of mighty and historic proportions.

First girl went down the hill heading my way as I was doing a downhill in the opposite direction. I slowed up, worrying that she'd end up in my path. The fear on her face mixed with the wiggly steering and panicked braking did not assure me that she'd make it upright. However the fear in her face was not proportional to her actual predicament since she was actually and indeed well in control. She was not going anywhere but down the hill, upright and fast.
