Big Ride Plans

Near Future Plan

There is still a chance we could go one night in June, but I'm sure our weekends are getting pretty scarce already, so we should begin planning now. Or if we want to do one long ride, that includes a meal and the good part of the day, we should also pick a Saturday in June when we all can go and commit to it.

Let's try a day in June and if we can get the first day, we could talk about making it an overnighter.

June 4 (not good for Brian, but I might be able to ride until like 2pm or so)

June 11 (Not sure yet, Minako's son might come from Nagoya, but not confirmed)

June 18 Brian OK I think

June 25 Brian OK I think

July 2 Brian OK I think

Farther Future Plans

Let's plan a 2 day or 3 day trip for late summer (I'll be gone all of August and part of Sept.) or fall... I have a friend from Toyama who might join us.

1. Leave home and go to the Japan sea. (1 or 2 nights)

2. Biwa-ko (we could ride all the way there and go around it (3 hard days!) but if we took a train or bus up there, we could go around the lake in two relative hard days 110km per day? or better yet, 3 more liesurely days.

3. Nodo hanto is also a cool place to ride, we could think about taking a train up there (direct train from JR).

4. Other possibilities would be Okayama villas ride (which would mean starting out by train most likely)

5. Or I suppose Wakyama or Shikoku would be worth looking into.
