What a lovely day! Temperature was perfect. I caught all the lights and made a new discovery about the route. I learned how to cut off that underpass where I have to get off my bicycle. I made pretty close to a record time. Part of the record time was due to the luck of hitting lights just right, I only had two stops. One on the first Ogawa bridge and the second one between KKR and the toll overpass, just before I go down into Tamatsukuri. The perfect weather also contributed. I have not been riding much so I can't really credit myself too much, however having quit smoking for 2 months now! Not even a puff! This must also give me something, I'm sure. Finally that new route can also be credited for shaving off a bit of time.

Return trip: Another nice ride, a little more wind and of course return traffic was worse. Left at 4:40 and it was dark before 5:30. I took a new internal route that might have cut off some distance and perhaps a bit of time. Kind of meandered through the area between the Shinkansen and yodogawa. Felt pretty good all the way home, except for the last hills through Toyonaka where I did get some added energy before I passed the tops. Looking forward to getting my riding strength up again, maybe about in a month, if I can stick with my plan to ride 3 times a week.
