I was dressed perfectly for the weather. My so-called -5 degrees pittard gloves came through because there was no wind. Under my new Mizuno bright green shell was my purple Mountain Hardware fleece thingy. PI shorts with PI tights. Winter Sidi shoes. I was just fine going in and stopped for several pictures of the Ogawa.

I discovered a new shortcut through Juuso today! After about 18 months of riding, I took a new route that I think cut two sides off of a right equilateral triangle. So I guess I cut off about 1km! I'll have to measure it when I get a chance, but that was a great find. I should be able to get sub 1 hour times when I finally get my odo back.

Return trip I got a light rain, but my clothes came through once again. I was hardly wet when I got home. My shoes held up well through their first rain test. I was coming down with a head and chest cold, but felt so toasty that it was a great ride anyways.

Good clothing turns bad conditions into a pleasant ride.

It's not raining hard until it's raining hard.
