The morning ride was much colder than expected. It was such a clear sunny morning, that hitting the downhill wind at the beginning of my ride down Romantic Road, I began wondering whether or not a shell was needed.

The return ride was glorious. First, I stepped out of my building in my gear and immediately noticed it was much warmer than I expected. The clear day with a bright sun warmed up the earth and it wasn't going to disappear so fast. The air was pretty still. I don't think I had a tailwind going up the Ogawa river, but I was moving effortlessly. It was exhilarating. It made me feel like I was getting in shape (which is only partially true, since there has been some slight improvements) and that Spring was coming (most definitely true). However when I reached the Yodogawa River, it was heaven. The sun had just gone down and there was a orange-gold tinge on everything and the tall buildings of Umeda generated their own celestial light. Lacking a camera, I'll have to depend on this page and my memory (which can only get better in this case) since I have seen few sights like it in my life, and Walden, Montana comes to mind.
