Goals:
By watching and reacting to significant English news you will increase:
- English listening and discussion skills
- Increasing your knowledge of current world events, Increasing English vocabulary, by studying significant English language television news and reports.
How to be successful in this class:
- Attend classes. If you don't come, you can't learn as much therefore your grade will be lower
- Participate. As you participate in class you will get familiar with the topic and learn more
- Do your homework and study for quizzes
Grading:
- Final test 40%
- Vocabulary quiz 15%
- Transcript 15%
- Listening quiz 15%
- Discussion & other 10%
- Reading questions 5%

- A Class (Bring i-pod to class with current topic recorded on it)

- Pre-listening, watch video, begin dictation, Assign discussion homework

- C Class:
- Check transcripts
- watch video again, continue discussion
